Keith is nominated for a DAISY Award

A patient’s family member nominated Keith for a DAISY Award for his compassionate patient care.

The family member wrote, “Keith was my husband’s nurse multiple times after he had his left leg amputated and suffered a pressure wound on his bottom. He was very attentive, helped my husband get comfortable in bed no matter how many times he had to reposition him and made sure my husband knew every med before he took it. He explained things in words that made sense and even found a way to position my husband’s limb to relieve the pressure. After a few days, he was transferred to a different part of the unit, but he still came over at least three times to check on my husband and ensure he was okay. We’re so grateful for the care Keith gave and the comfort he brought.”

Way to go, Keith! Congratulations on the well-deserved DAISY Award nomination.

Lesha receives a double shout-out

Lesha received two shout-outs from her colleagues for rising to meet a challenging situation!

One colleague said, “Lesha took it upon herself to do rounds without being asked and provided care for the entire 12-hour shift for every patient. I’m so impressed that I’m at a loss for words. She did not complain once. She deserves to be celebrated!”

Another colleague said, “We have a great team player and coworker in Lesha. One night we had a sudden vacancy for CNAs, and Lesha stepped up to fill the void. She floated to three different lodges and provided quality care for everyone. She created a plan and worked in unison with her partner to cover the staffing shortage. She is the best!”

Way to go, Lesha! Your team sees and appreciates your hard work and dedication. Keep it up!

They said, “I want to recognize Ryan. Last night, after getting a call that a patient’s O2 stats were not doing great, Ryan checked on them numerous times after doing what he could. Whenever he assessed the patient, he wouldn’t leave without ensuring they were comfortable and saturating appropriately. He always updated us whenever he did something and at one point even asked us what he could do to help. His compassion and integrity should not go unnoticed!”

The colleague wrote, “I want to share how valuable Tim has been to our surgeons as we expand our robotic surgery program. Every single procedure I have done with Tim has been fluid and seamless. We constantly discuss ways to improve our technique, and the tips and tricks he provides have made the transition to robotic surgery so much easier, safer and better for our patients. Tim is an exceptional RNFA! He’s kind and compassionate, and he truly makes a difference in the lives of so many. He’s a dedicated mentor and is an amazing role model to others.
