Making each day better than the last.

2024 Community Impact Report

Making communities better

At Aya, we believe health and wellness, safe shelter, access to education and equity are basic human rights — and we focus our giving and volunteer efforts around these pillars. Here’s just some of what we did last year to support communities nationwide.

Healthcare

195

Healthcare orgs supported

We’re proud to support healthcare organizations across the country in their mission to care for their communities, and we’re committed to uplifting those who work every day to keep others healthy.

900+

Families supported

We’ve funded the Health Office at TERi Campus of Life — a medical station that will support over 900 families.

32

Fundraiser walks

Nationwide fundraiser walks in support of incredible causes like the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Cancer Society and more.

Food security

1M+

People fed

For the past three years, Aya has been the presenting sponsor for Father Joe’s Villages “Run for Hope” Thanksgiving Day 5K. The event brings together 7,500+ community members, which in 2024 included 266 Aya employees, friends and family, to raise critical funds to help feed over a million San Diegans every year.

920,000+

Meals donated

As a returning sponsor of the Jacobs and Cushman’s San Diego Food Bank’s holiday food drive, we’re proud to announce that in 2024, 745,754 pounds of food equaling over 920,000 meals were donated through community food drives.

safe shelter

Emergency relief efforts

To support emergency and ongoing relief efforts, we’ve worked with the Red Cross, North Carolina Healthcare Association Disaster Relief Fund, Feeding America (providing 60,000 meals), Pup N Purr Rescue, and Team Rubicon, whose clearance teams removed over 6,500 cubic yards — equivalent to more than 400 dump trucks — of debris in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Education

50+

Educational orgs supported

We believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities. That’s why we supported more than 50 educational organizations across the country that provide resources, opportunities and support to help the next generation achieve their goals.

Equity

San Diego Pride Parade

We joined hundreds of thousands of community members for the San Diego Pride Parade for the fourth year in a row.  Parade sponsorship funds vital LGBTQ-focused programming locally, nationally and globally for the most marginalized members of our community.

Operation Bigs

Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County partnered with Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton to create Operation Bigs — a first of its kind program — to provide mentors to children of military families, including active duty, veteran and Gold Star families. We’re proud to have helped fund this program which has served 3,000 Navy and Marine Corps children to date.

One Simple Wish

We’re thrilled to team up with  One Simple Wish to grant wishes for children in foster care during the holiday season and year-round. We created the Aya Healthcare Wish Fund to do our part to make tomorrow happier than today.

Together, we can make each day better than the last.
