BayCare Health is an integrated system comprised of 15 hospitals and over 28,000 team members providing quality care to the Tampa Bay community. Community Investment

Woven into the fabric of BayCare is the steadfast belief that everyone deserves the same access to high-quality care, regardless of their ability to pay. In 2020, BayCare invested $445 million in community benefit through Medicaid and income based programs, charity care and community services. Improving the health of the community through community health services and education programs is at the heart of BayCare’s community initiatives.

Awards and Accolades

BayCare has received awards, accreditation and national recognition, including Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work for and Tampa Bay’s Top Workplaces in 2019. BayCare hospitals have been awarded the DNV GL Healthcare Primary and Acute Stroke Certifications, the American Heart Association’s Get with the Guidelines Stroke Award and have been designated as American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence. Multiple hospitals have also been accredited by the Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.

Professional Development

BayCare is committed to the growth and development of all its team members, beginning with its education program. All team members have the opportunity to attend classes to further develop their skills and interests. BayCare offers free certification review classes to travelers on assignment at their facilities, with courses including certifications in CAPA/CPAN, CEN, CNOR, CNRI (IV Therapy) and more. BayCare strives to help every member of their team excel in their practice and caring for their employees directly influences the quality of service they provide.
