The San Diego Union-Tribune Names Aya Healthcare a Top Workplace for Fourth Consecutive Year

San Diego Union-Tribune Top Workplaces 2017Aya Healthcare, the San Diego-based company transforming healthcare staffing nationally, has once again been named a Top Workplace in San Diego by the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Top Workplaces lists are based on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement.

Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution and connection. Aya Healthcare is consistently recognized for their unique employee perks, such as unlimited discretionary paid time off, 100% employer-paid premium health insurance, fully-stocked kitchens of healthy food, casual dress code, free fitness classes and more. Beyond the incredible perks, Aya offers a corporate culture where employees feel more like friends and family than colleagues.

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” says Energage CEO Doug Claffey. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Time and time again, our research has proven that what’s most important to them is a strong belief in where the organization is headed, how it’s going to get there, and the feeling that everyone is in it together.” Claffey adds, “Without this sense of connection, an organization doesn’t have a shot at being named a Top Workplace.”

This is the fourth consecutive year Aya Healthcare has been named a top workplace by the San Diego Union-Tribune. Aya has also been recognized as a best place to work by Modern Healthcare, the San Diego Business Journal and Staffing Industry Analysts.

“Aya Healthcare’s exceptional experiences begin with our corporate employees,” says Aya Healthcare Vice President of Employee Experience Amber Zeeb. “We work extremely hard to ensure our employees feel supported and that they can be themselves every day at work. When our employees are fulfilled and enjoy their workday, they do their best work. It’s what we do because it’s the right thing to do.”
