Allied Licensing Process | The Ultimate Guide by Aya Healthcare

March 14, 2023 | Traveler Tips

As an allied traveler, you get to explore new places while honing your clinical skills – our job is to help you get there. Before you can start your travel adventures, you’ll need to secure a state license. When it comes to the allied licensing process, each allied profession has different compliance requirements — and those requirements often vary from state to state (and facility to facility). Luckily, Aya has a whole team dedicated to making the process as simple and streamlined as possible! Your recruiter will go over the specific requirements for your next assignment and connect you with a licensing team member who’s equipped to assist any allied clinician through the licensing process.

Aya Sponsored Licenses

If you’re a respiratory, radiology or surgical tech professional seeking a license in a qualifying state, you may qualify for Aya to sponsor your license. Your recruiter will make sure you’re eligible for our expedited license program and get the process started with our allied licensing team. Many of Aya’s sponsored state license projects only require candidates to have completed an Aya application, but some require the clinician to be currently working an allied health travel job or have a signed contract when applying for the license.

Once you connect with your licensing specialist, they’ll provide a checklist of the requirements you need for that state’s licensure process and detailed instructions on how to complete the online application. Complete and save your application but hold off on making the payment. Once you submit your completed checklist, your licensing specialist will submit the payment on your behalf. You’ll also be required to verify your certification or test scores that prove you’re qualified to work in your profession. Additional requirements will be determined based on the state you’re applying in.

Your licensing specialist will guide you as you submit your documentation and complete the application while troubleshooting issues and expediting the process so you can start your assignment on time!
