Aya RN, Carrie, is a DAISY Award winner!

Carrie was awarded the prestigious DAISY Award after one of her patients wrote in about her professionalism and her gift for nursing. Read the sweet feedback that this patient had to share about Carrie:

“I was admitted in severe condition. Carrie met me with a smile and an extremely upbeat attitude. I cannot describe a specific situation as she was very consistent in her attitude and professionalism. I also have a compromised immune system. I have been hospitalized many times, yet I never had a nurse who made it a point to physically make contact to reassure me and honestly answer my questions. If she did not know the answer, she would tell me, ‘Hang on, I’ll go find out,’ and she did. It is my hope that this nurse is recognized as rare and unique in today’s nursing profession. These are the nurses who need to be recognized and utilized as mentors. It is clearly evident, that she does not do it as a job, she has a gift. From when I was admitted, until today, I have seen nothing but a positive smile and a willingness to immediately address my medical concerns, taking that extra moment to check on me.
