Discover West Virginia

With only three other locations world wide, Carnegie Hall in West Virginia is a rare cultural gem. Much like the location in New York, music has been heard in these halls for over a century. The red brick Georgian Revival structure is tucked away in the Allegheny Mountains and features diverse talent from Rasta bands to classical music groups. From June through August the renowned venue hosts free outdoor concerts on the lawn.

To experience another area with modern amenities and impeccably preserved historic sites, visit Harpers Ferry and Bolivar. These quaint 19th century style villages are bordered by the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Both living history towns are surrounded by the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and provide visitors with tours, museums, hiking and biking trails. The Appalachian Trail even goes right through the heart of town! If you are feeling adventurous, take a trek through the mountains or raft down the river with a local guide. For those who prefer to stay in town, there are plenty of unique local eateries to satisfy the palate and boutiques for souvenirs.
