Discover Illinois

Illinois is home to one of the greatest American cities – Chicago! The Windy City is unquestionably a world-class attraction with incredible dining, art, culture, fast-paced nightlife, a plethora of outdoor activities and friendly locals. Don’t be shocked if one of them invites you boating on Lake Michigan where you can cut through the city and have lunch at a five star restaurant.

If you can tear yourself away from the city, head out to Route 66 for an experience as memorable as that road is long. This mostly-rural route meanders along the scenic Illinois River. Make a pit stop in Springfield for a look into Abraham Lincoln’s family home. This landmark will broaden your horizons and take you back in time to see what life was like while Lincoln and his family were living.

Continue on Route 66 across the famous Chain of Rocks Bridge to experience the unusual 30 degree turn midway across. The 60 foot height of this mile long bridge will not only help you traverse the mighty Mississippi, but give you a beautiful final view of Illinois as you make your way into St. Louis.
