SGMC Praises Aya Travel Nurse for Exceptional Patient Care
Erin, a veteran Aya travel nurse on her thirteenth assignment, is making a big impact at South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC). Locally and nationally recognized for exceptional patient care, SGMC is dedicated to improving the health, wellness and quality of life in the community. This not-for-profit health system is a prestigious addition to any travel nursing resume, even one as illustrious as Erin’s.
It’s not easy to stand out as a travel nurse at this exceptional facility, but Erin managed to do just that. A patient’s wife recently wrote a note of thanks to SGMC for the exceptional care Erin provided her husband. Bill Forbes, SGMC’s CEO, passed the sentiment along to Erin, adding his own praise for her work:
On behalf of South Georgia Medical Center, I want to express my appreciation of your commitment to assist with the delivery of quality healthcare to our patients. Your dedication and commitment to your profession proves that you are most deserving of this acknowledgement.
Thank you for your service to our hospital and community.
We’re proud to have Erin on our team and we can’t wait to see what great things she achieves throughout her travel nursing journey. For anyone looking to follow in her footsteps, and book an assignment at SGMC, you should know that not only does the health system consist of top-notch facilities, but the area offers much to do outside of work as well.
While in the heart of South Georgia, you may find yourself strolling around downtown Valdosta, popping in an out of local art galleries, boutiques and antique shops. With 29 parks in the city alone, plus thousands of acres of open land for hiking, biking, camping, hunting, fishing and anything else a country heart could possibly desire, South Georgia is THE place for the adventurously inclined.
No southern sojourn would be complete without sampling the local cuisine. The state fruit pops up everywhere: Juicy Georgia peaches are found in ice cream, pie and even cocktails. When new friends (and you’re sure to make new friends — Southerners are famously friendly!) invite you over you may get a taste of a unique family pimento cheese recipe, barbeque, wild Georgia shrimp or just about anything you can think of to fry all washed down with sweet tea.
