Long-time Aya NICU Travel Nurse Wows at Another Hospital

Aya Healthcare NICU travel nurse, Leslie, is an incredibly reliable and hardworking NICU nurse. An experienced travel RN, for the past three years Leslie has taken assignments at several different hospitals, not only successfully completing, but extending each one. Her team at Aya has grown to know her well over the years, and they appreciate her amazing attitude and expertise as a travel nurse. A few of our team members were fortunate enough to meet Leslie in person a little over a month ago, at Aya’s TravCon party. We met at the Beer Park at Paris Las Vegas for a little dining and dancing, with guest appearances by Elvis and Britney Spears (Ok…they may have been impersonators, but we were still impressed with their singing voices and dance moves.) Lucky Leslie even took home grand prize in the raffle!

When she isn’t lighting up an Aya party, Leslie is hard at work in facilities across the country, and her talents as a travel nurse do not go unnoticed. She recently received special recognition from leadership at her current hospital. We know that Leslie is a rock star travel RN, so while we aren’t surprised that a NICU educator at her facility took the time to pass on feedback she had received from another nurse there, we certainly are elated. A colleague praised Leslie for being “exceptionally helpful,” and going out of her way to assist with an especially difficult admission. According to the educator, Leslie is “a fantastic nurse and role model for new nurses.” They say no one achieves anything alone, and travel nursing especially is a team effort, but even in traditionally collaborative professions you find individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty. Leslie is consistently one of those people, and the facilities she visits and patients she cares for are lucky to have her. Thank you, Leslie, for your hard work and dedication.
