Meet One of Ten Terrific Students Just Awarded an Aya Scholarship
We recently had the pleasure of meeting one of the first 10 recipients of our annual University of California San Diego scholarship at the UCSD Hearts & Scholars event. The event brings scholarship donors and recipients together to connect in person.
Alan Braynin, founder and CEO of Aya Healthcare, believes that finances shouldn’t be a hindrance to attending UCSD. Giving back to the community is an integral part of Aya’s culture and philosophy, especially in the San Diego area. As a UCSD alum, Alan feels strongly about supporting the school that helped shape him. That’s why Aya pledged $200,000 to provide ten $5,000 scholarships for UCSD students over four years.
These scholarships focus on attracting high achievers to the university, so they’re awarded to incoming students in financial need who’ve exhibited outstanding academic histories.
Congratulations Albert! You earned this scholarship.
Albert is a first-year student at UCSD studying human biology. He’s a San Diego native who sees the importance of living on campus to be fully immersed in the college experience, and he used this scholarship to make that dream come true. He’s more than halfway through his first year (and he even loves his suitemates!)
Way to go, Albert. We salute you and the other nine scholarship recipients!
This isn’t the only scholarship Aya offers! We also award Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarships. And if you’re a current Aya travel nurse interested in tuition reimbursement, check out the Aya Scholars program.
