Medical Center in New Orleans Uses Aya Clinical Services to Increase Traveler Quality and Retention

A not-for-profit hospital with more than 400 beds located in New Orleans faced a number of challenges, including inaccurate candidate submissions, nurses cancelling before starting assignments and clinical cancellations due to the wrong skillset or experience. Additionally, the candidate hiring process — from submission to interview to offer — took more than 48 hours.

In November of 2017, the facility asked Aya Healthcare for assistance and began utilizing Aya Clinical Services. Aya’s clinical team helped save the staff time by increasing the quality of candidates through a higher level of clinical vetting — resulting in a 38% reduction in the number of candidates sent for consideration.

Because the client received a smaller pool of highly qualified clinicians, they increased their fill rate by 21%. Clinical cancellations decreased by 40% and the medical center also reduced their time-
to-fill as the average offer turnaround time went from 48 to 24 hours.
