Get to Know the Technology Team

This team is responsible for creating and maintaining software for our clinicians, clients, suppliers and corporate employees. They work hard to ensure our software can make everyone’s daily tasks more efficient (and hopefully more fun!)

They offer technical support and solutions, seek innovative ideas and enjoy collaborating across all Aya departments.

Meet Apoorva C. (Product Manager)

How would you describe your team’s dynamic/work environment?
I am so lucky to work with such talented and supportive people. Although everyone has their own projects to handle, we make an effort to help each other out. Whether that means having someone to bounce ideas off or help troubleshoot an issue, it’s great to have each other as a support system.

Meet Neil L. (Software Engineer)

What are some of the goals that our software engineers are working towards?
Our main mission as the technology team is to build software and systems that enhance the work lives and productivity of our Aya Family and external users. Our developers and product managers team up and work towards solutions together.

As members of the software engineering team, almost every day consists of a series of problems to solve. Whether it be a complex design pattern related to building infrastructure to support our software systems, or trying to troubleshoot an issue encountered by one of our users.

Meet Christine S. (Technical Trainer)

What do you enjoy most about your job here at Aya?
For the first time in my life, I have fun at work! While I’m definitely busy, I feel like there’s such a sense of camaraderie fostered within the company and my team that it’s like waking up every day to go see my friends. The amount of encouragement I receive not only from my teammates and manager, but even people outside of my department, is fantastic!

Since there’s so much focus on wellness at Aya, I also love that I can step out if I need to and join in on a meditation class or take a walk in the sunshine.

This past year our software development team collaborated with marketing on what we call “Tech Byte,” a company-wide newsletter to share technical updates. Sound boring? It’s not. Check this small sample out:
