Get to Know the Aya Compliance Team!

Our compliance team works with healthcare facilities all over the country to make sure all requirements are met and maintained for our travelers. This includes making sure certifications, competency exams, medical documents, background checks and many other items are valid and up-to-date.

We recently asked a few of our senior compliance team members to describe their Aya experience. Here are their thoughts on goals for the future, core values and our company culture. If you like what you read — you should know that we’re looking for new team members to join us.

Renee M. (Director of Compliance)-

How has our compliance team grown over the past year?
We’ve grown exponentially, not only in size but in our capabilities and offerings. Together we make a cohesive group that elevates the compliance experience for our travelers and clients.

What are your goals for our compliance team this year?
Our main objective is to provide 100% compliant travelers while having a customized compliance experience that meets our clients individual needs —and have fun while doing it!

Zack T. (Compliance Liaison II)

What are some of the compliance team’s core values?
It’s very important to be detail-oriented and always strive to not only meet every expectation a hospital may have but  to exceed those expectations.  We value thinking of the big picture impact while providing outstanding service both to internal staff and our hospital contacts.

How would you describe your co-workers?
All of my co-workers are willing to provide any knowledge or help they can in tackling an issue.  We’re a team of forward thinkers who bring our individual interests, backgrounds, and personalities together to make a work environment that’s efficient and fun.

In what ways is our compliance team essential to what we do at Aya as a whole?
Hospitals rave about our attention to detail and we always score extremely high on audits. The Joint Commission is always happy when they visit us and see the meticulous care we put into compliance. We care about doing amazing work, and it shows when hospitals compliment us on being the best in the biz.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Compliance has so many incredible people who are an absolute joy to work with. Their never say die attitude inspires me to go above and beyond every day. I also really enjoy working with my boss, the Director of Compliance, Renee. I’ve been at Aya for almost 10 years now and she’s been by manager since day one and I couldn’t have asked for a better leader and mentor. She is patient, understanding and pushes me to always do my best. She has not only made me a better professional but a better person too.
