February 28, 2020 | Clinician Stories

Are you a Canadian travel nurse itching to start your travel career in the U.S.? Aya Healthcare’s got your back.

When you work with Aya, travel nursing from Canada to the United States is a lot easier than you might think. We handle the paperwork, licensing, job searching (literally everything!) so you can focus on getting excited about this new adventure!

Travel nursing from Canada to the U.S. shouldn’t cost you time or money. In fact, we cover the cost of licensing and visas for those who qualify. And we have an entire licensing team entirely dedicated to making the process as easy as possible.

But don’t take our word for it! Canadian travel nurse, Amber, is on her third assignment in the U.S. — and loving every minute of it. We took some time to chat with her about her experience…

Q: Amber, what made you want to travel to the United States?

A: I love to travel to new places, meet new people and explore. And travel nursing in the U.S. gives me the opportunity to do all three!

We don’t really have travel nursing specific to pediatrics in Canada, so I started searching for opportunities in the U.S. I was pleasantly surprised with the many pediatric job opportunities for travel nurses over here! We also get paid better in America. Plus, the offer of great benefits and free housing is pretty attractive.

Q: We’re so glad to have you here! What made you choose Aya as your travel nursing agency?

A: To be perfectly honest, I was with a different company prior to Aya. They didn’t have any positions available in the states I was licensed in, so I started looking for a company that did. I came across Aya and was amazed with the amount of pediatric jobs you had available all over the country! From my first interaction, it’s been so enjoyable. My recruiter has gone above and beyond to help me with everything.

Q: We take pride in our dedicated licensing team for Canadian travelers. How did you find the licensing process?

A: Everything has been EASY. My recruiter has been incredible and so helpful with licensing and every other process that I’ve gone through. As a Canadian travel nurse working in the States, I know that can be a lot of extra work.

I can’t say enough about how happy I am with Aya. I’m so excited to continue working with you.

What does that mean for you?

You could join Amber and other Canadian nurses working in the USA. in just 2-3 months! Because we’re a preferred supplier at multiple facilities across several states, we can get you licensed quickly and ready to work in about half the time it would take you on your own or with other agencies. Ready to start living the American (travel nursing) dream? Get started here.

keana.mcgrath Hi Kristin! Unfortunately, we do not have any Canadian jobs for our travelers yet. Although, several other agencies do offer international travel to Canada. :)
