Aya Travelers Offer Help and Inspiration During California Wildfire
Recently, a fast-spreading fire near Redding, CA forced the evacuation of 38,000 people. Local medical professionals jumped into action, supporting the community both through their direct care and grace during adversity.
Aya is proud to say that we had several brave travelers working during this time, and we want to recognize their unwavering commitment to duty. Four nurses in particular – Glen, Riesa, Jessica and Chelsea live in their RVs while on assignment. This grants them freedom to travel from place to place and act as problem solvers during emergencies.
All four RNs were evacuated from their RV park due to its proximity to the blaze. The local Walmart allowed them to park in their lot and stay so they could make it to work each day and care for patients in need. They sent us a photo that heartened all of us. It’s inspiring to see this group keep their chins up and spirits high during a very uncertain time.
As always, we are grateful to Jessica, Chelsea, Glen, Riesa and all the other helpers. Thank you!
