Aya Travel Nurse Reconnects With Her Roots in Indiana

Lauren’s first assignment with Aya Healthcare is going great! She’s currently in Indiana and says it’s nice to be working close to friends and family. A native Hoosier, Lauren values her roots more now than ever. She explains, “Before I began travel nursing, I didn’t appreciate Indiana nearly as much as I do now.” The “AMAZING sunsets” and  “kind people” are Lauren’s new favorite things about home.

She’s especially grateful for her recruiter, Drew, who she says, “was able to find the perfect position for me in Kokomo” and also to her new coworkers. In her words, “Everyone was really helpful with all of the new employee onboarding things I had to do. I enjoy the location and people the most at Community Howard Regional Health. I have only been here for two weeks and the staff has made me feel really welcome.”

Her plan is to spend quality time with her family before the holidays and then consider taking her next assignment in Nashville, TN. As she puts it, “Travel nursing is scary, but exciting and addicting! Can’t wait for what my future holds.”
