5 Minute Meditation to Reclaim Your Personal Energy

Energy is measurable in all things. If you are sensitive, energy (positive or negative) most likely affects you.
The good news? We can control our own personal energy. We can control how we affect others, how we are affected by others and what we allow into our personal space.
As a nurse, this understanding can be vital to how you manage your day-to-day experiences. When you learn to stay within your own personal energy, and not be affected by the energy around you, you begin to experience a calm and peaceful existence.
Let’s bring this idea into meditation.
5-Minute Personal Energy Meditation
First, get comfortable. Gently close your eyes, place your hands comfortably in your lap and begin to focus on your breath. Follow your inhale and exhale through the nose. Inhale and feel as if you’re connecting to your own energy. On each inhalation, think “I clear all energy but my own.” Breath in through your nose, this time imagine that you are within a giant bubble and your exhalation begins to fill that bubble. Again, inhale and expand your belly. Exhale and fill your bubble. Completely fill your bubble with your own energy. Nothing can enter or exit your bubble of personal energy.

This simple and effective technique can be practiced throughout the day. When you notice that other peoples’ energy begins to affect you, it means your personal energy bubble has popped and you should start again.
